Obituary

Curtis Linehan

1959 - 2023

We are sad to announce the unexpected passing of Curtis Linehan, 63, on June  8, 2023. Curtis grew up in Azle. He graduated in 1977 and joined the Army National Guard. Curtis married Carol McBride and together shared two beautiful children. He was a man of many talents. Curtis was a true "Jack of all trades" and known as a handyman to his family.  He had many talents as a machinist, mechanic, plumber, and builder.

Later in his life, he met and married Karen Leman. Cutris enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, archery, and boating.  His best times were spent with his friends and family by his side.  Curtis had a larger-than-life personality, and always kept a smile on everyone's faces with a quick-witted joke.  He was the life of the party and true treasure to be around.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, E.F.(Frank) Linehan and Doris Linehan Jernigan, and his daughter, Amber Linehan-Lemke.

He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his wife, Karen; son, Joshua and wife, Lara; sisters, Donna Van Kirk and husband, Gary, and Jan Blagg and husband, Ed; step-father, Gene Jernigan; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

A part of our lives and a piece of our hearts are gone. He will be missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Castle Hills, 401 Beverly Road, Azle, TX, beginning at 10:00 AM.
