In Loving Memory of Cheryl Deneen Hill-Daniels

1955 - 2024

Cheryl Deneen Hill-Daniels, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024, in Springtown, Texas. Born on June 9, 1955, in Enid, Oklahoma, Cheryl was the cherished daughter of Mitchell Hill and Della Harmon-Hill. Moving to Texas as a child, she embraced her new home with an open heart, nurtured by a supportive and loving family. Cheryl was baptized in the Baptist faith as a child, fostering a lifelong companionship with her Lord and Savior.

Growing up as a military child, Cheryl developed resilience and adaptability, qualities that would serve her throughout her life. She graduated from Burleson High School in 1974, where she formed lifelong friendships and memories. In 1994, she met the love of her life, David B. Daniels. Their bond was deep and unwavering; he was not just her partner but her closest companion, and together they created a lifetime of beautiful moments.

Cheryl's role as a mother was paramount. She dedicated herself to her children, attending every function and cheering them on from the sidelines. Her love expanded abundantly as she embraced her role as a grandmother, a title that brought her immense joy and fulfillment. As an active Nana, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren: Brooke, Kaylyn, Hailey, Allison, Trinity and Dylan.

A woman of many passions, Cheryl loved to read and spent countless evenings playing cards, especially Canasta and Skip-Bo, surrounded by family and friends. She was an exceptional cook, known for her delicious meals that brought loved ones together around the dining table. Family was the cornerstone of her life, and she poured her heart into serving and nurturing those she loved.

Cheryl had a special affinity for animals, particularly her beloved dachshunds, including her last companion, Michael. Her love for children was profound; she devoted time to babysitting and even ran a daycare, ensuring every child felt cherished and cared for. Her compassionate spirit extended beyond her family, as she frequently lent a helping hand to anyone in need, embodying kindness and generosity.

Cheryl is survived by her devoted husband, David B. Daniels; her mother, Della Hill; her daughters, Stephanie Dishon-Qualls and her husband, Cody Qualls, and Brandi Wilkins; her beloved grandchildren; her sister, Laura Cokenour; and her brothers, Ed, Glenn, and Aaron Hill. She also leaves behind her niece, Janet Douglas, and many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched with her warmth.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Hill; her father-in-law, Francis Daniels; her niece, Melody Powell; and her son-in-law, Allen Wilkins.

A celebration of Cheryl's life will be held on Friday, October 4, at 2 PM at the Azle Funeral Chapel, located on the grounds of Azleland Cemetery. In honoring her spirit, family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable life of a woman who radiated love and compassion.

Cheryl Deneen Hill-Daniels will be deeply missed, yet her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
