In Loving Memory of Charlotte Clark
1948 - 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charlotte Clark, who peacefully left this world on March 1, 2025, in Weatherford, Texas, at the age of 77. Charlotte was born on February 1, 1948, to Beryl and Wanda Peters in Corpus Christi, Texas. Raised in the warm embrace of a Baptist home, Charlotte's faith was a constant source of strength throughout her life. She was baptized in the 1970s, and her strong relationship with the Lord remained a cornerstone of her spirit.
Charlotte's upbringing in North Texas shaped the person she became—a loving mother, loyal sister, and passionate musician. Her younger sister, Debbie, cherishes the memories of tagging along on sleepovers with Charlotte, where they would spend hours together, with Charlotte letting Debbie play school on a chalkboard, making memories that would last a lifetime.
Charlotte was a gifted musician, particularly with the piano. Her extraordinary ability to listen to a song just once and play it back by ear amazed those around her. Music was her soul's language, and she found deep joy in playing and singing, especially anything connected to her beloved country music. Among her favorite artists was Tanya Tucker, whose songs she loved to sing along with.
Above all, Charlotte was a devoted mother who always put her children first. She faced every challenge with resilience and love, ensuring her kids felt cared for through every season of life. Every Saturday evening, she could be found in front of the TV, enjoying her favorite show, Larry's Country Diner, a tradition that brought her comfort and joy.
Charlotte is survived by her loving daughter, Dodie Cline, and her husband Derek Cline; her step-grandson DJ Cline; her sister Debbie Hall and her husband Eddie; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Timothy Clark, her son Ricky Copeland, her parents Beryl and Wanda Peters, her brother Sgt. Beryl Gene Peters, USMC, and her sister Susie Wear.
Charlotte's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will forever be remembered for her unwavering faith, her musical talent, and the love she so freely shared with her family and friends.
A memorial service in Charlotte's honor will be held Friday, March 21st @ 2:00PM, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home, located at 850 N. Cardinal Rd, Azle, TX 76020.
May Charlotte rest in peace
