In Loving Memory of Charles Ray Craft, Affectionately Known as "Chuck"

Born on September 29, 1947, in Shaw, Mississippi, Charles Ray Craft, fondly referred to as "Chuck," entered the world as a ray of light to parents, Willie and Roberta Craft. He peacefully passed away on August 19, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith. Chuck's life was a testament to the power of love and commitment.

At the age of five, he moved to Texas, where destiny awaited him. In his junior high years in Fort Worth, he met the love of his life, Brenda, whose heart he would capture forever. Their love story unfolded beautifully, culminating in their wedding in 1964. Over 59 incredible years, they built a life filled with joy, love, and devotion, raising four children—a son and three daughters—together.

Chuck's career path was marked by dedication and entrepreneurship. He managed Swinfords, a beloved BBQ restaurant, with an enthusiasm that infused every dish he crafted. Additionally, his passion for sustainability led him to establish a successful recycling business, leaving an indelible mark on his community.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Chuck's heart thrived in his hobbies and passions. His love for cooking BBQ was a source of culinary delight for countless fortunate souls. The peaceful art of fishing brought him moments of serenity and connection with nature. His eyes gleamed with pride as he watched his children and grandchildren engage in sports, a reflection of his undying support and love. Chuck's life radiated with the warmth of family gatherings. These gatherings, filled with laughter, stories, and cherished moments, were his true treasure

His spiritual connection was deepened by his daily readings of the Bible, and his unwavering faith made him a beacon of love and guidance for those around him. Never one to shy away from helping others, Chuck tended a garden brimming with fresh vegetables, always ready to share his bounty with those in need. His compassionate heart extended to those less fortunate, as he frequently fed the homeless and extended a helping hand to those in search of hope.

Chuck was a remarkable soul who touched countless lives with his love, generosity, and unshakable faith. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and remind us of the power of love, family, and compassion. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary man, let us celebrate a life well-lived and carry forward the lessons he imparted to us all.
