In Loving Memory Of
Carole Rose St. Cyr
1943 - 2024
Carole Rose St. Cyr, born January 5, 1943, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. A devoted daughter of Anthony Marchese and Mary (Michaud) D' Autiuel, Carole's life was marked by deep family connections, and a profound love for animals and the natural world.
Raised in a Catholic household, Carole was baptized at a young age. She attended Lawrence schools and proudly graduated from Lawrence High School, where her intelligence and determination began to shine. Following her graduation, Carole embarked on a professional journey as an auditor for the IRS in Andover, Massachusetts, where her sharp mind and attention to detail served her well.
In the vibrant community of Lawrence, Carole met Eugene St. Cyr, the love of her life. Their union, celebrated for 50 cherished years, was built on a strong foundation of commitment to family. Together, they raised a beautiful family, instilling in their children strong values that Carole held dear.
In 2001, Carole followed her family to Texas, where she continued to nurture her loved ones and explore new passions. She was a complex individual, a woman of many talents, whose warmth and strength defined her role as a mother. Her children often describe her as the best mother one could hope for, showering them with unconditional love while guiding them with her firm yet compassionate hand.
Carole's intellect was matched only by her street smarts; she was both well-read and savvy, navigating the complexities of life with grace. Her love of reading was evident in her collection of romance novels, which she enjoyed during quiet moments. She embraced technology with enthusiasm, mastering devices like her Kindle and iPad, and forming friendships with the staff at her local AT&T store as she sought assistance with her tech needs.
Among her many passions, Carole was especially devoted to animals and loved to travel. She formed a close bond with her best friend, Tammy Hulsey, at the feed store, where their shared love for animals blossomed. Carole's heart was large enough to embrace all creatures, from chickens and Koi fish to her beloved cat, Holly. Her compassion extended to cooking as well; her family fondly remembers her delicious stuffed artichokes, pasta dishes, and Greek lamb, which filled their home with warmth and love.
Carole was also an avid fan of crime shows, often found engrossed in episodes of Chicago PD and NCIS, reflecting her sharp mind and appreciation for engaging narratives.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Cody, whose support and kindness during Carole's illness provided comfort and love.
Carole is survived by her daughter, Karin Purcell, and her husband Steve; her son, John Danahy, and his wife Bev; her daughters, Colleen Danahy, Michele Doherty and her husband Phillip, Brittany Osborn and her husband Samuel, and Brianna Danahy. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, along with her sister, Janet Beaudin, and her husband Richard, and many extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene St. Cyr; her parents; and her sister, Martha.
Carole's memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, at the Azle Chapel on the grounds of Azleland Cemetery at 2 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor a remarkable woman whose legacy of love, strength, and compassion will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
