IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Calvin Eugene
Hunter
February 2, 1953 – December 17, 2020
Calvin Eugene Hunter Jr., beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, of Azle passed away on December 17, 2020 with his children by his side.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel beginning at 10:00 AM. Calvin will be laid to rest at the DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
Calvin was born on February 2, 1953 in Waxahachie to the late Calvin Eugene Hunter Sr. and Lola McKamey Johnson. He proudly served his country for five years as a member of the US Air Force. After, Calvin served as a Peace Officer for ten years and a volunteer firefighter for Pelican Bay, Texas. In 1974, he married the love of his life, Debra Ellen Hunter, and together they had three sons. Calvin had a heart for giving; even after retirement, he volunteered his time and skills to help his neighbors, friends, and family. After the unfortunate passing of his wife in 2017, Calvin kept strong in his faith and continued to serve his Lord and fellow congregation at Trinity Baptist Temple where they had been members sense 1991. Everyone who knew him knew how much Calvin loved his Lord, his family and friends, and his county.
Calvin is preceded in passing by his wife of 43 years, Debra, and his parents.
He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his children, Calvin III (Kathryn), Jacen (Tashah), and Anothony (Lauren) all of Azle, Texas; brother, Nathan Hunter (Beth) of Riverside, CA; sister, Teresa Mayo of Springtown, TX; five nephews; one niece; four granddaughters; five grandsons; two great-grandsons; and one soon to be great-granddaughter.
