In Loving Memory of Brenda Gail Pratte

1967 - 2025

In loving memory of Brenda Gail Pratte (B.G.) August 3rd 1967- October 5th 2025. It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my momma, who left for heaven on October 5th at 8:12am. Her battle against her cancer was long and hard, but now she is at peace. She lived a life full of adventure, and she was the strongest woman I know. I have no doubt that she watches over me, the family, and people who she knew and loved. She loved animals, dolphins and butterflies especially. I know she'll be sending us bunches of butterflies to let us know she's near. She was so silly, and so gorgeous. I am blessed to look like her. Even in the hospital bed at the ER she found ways to make me laugh. While my children will never know a life with her, I know they will meet her before and after their lives here on Earth. We all loved her immensely, and I am blessed and proud to say she is my momma. She loved scuba diving when she was in her 20s, traveling, music, and reading. She was born in Little Rock Arkansas, moved to Florida in her 20s, then to TX in 2003. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Brenda and Kyle Post, her sister Ramona Burton, her grandma and grandpa Poe, cousin Matthew Poe, and all her fur babies. She is survived by her daughter Stevie Pfeifer, father Jim Poe, Sisters Christy Davidson, and Ann Poe Sorrick, nephews Ryan and Josh Davidson, Justin and Jimmy Joe sorrick, uncles Don and Danny, and several cousins. Brenda leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure. Multiple loved ones and family who love and miss her terribly, until we meet again.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home, located at
850 N. Cardinal Rd, Azle, Texas 76020 at 2pm on Friday, October 24th, 2025.
