Brenda Lee Robbins-Nelson

1949 - 2019

Brenda Lee Robbins Nelson was born on October 21, 1949 in Oklahoma. She returned to her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 21, 2019  in Arlington, Texas.
Brenda was the daughter of Rosalind Laurent and J.D. Robbins.  Brenda loved to draw, she was a very talented artist. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking and loved baking treats for her family. Some of Brenda's other hobbies were doing word puzzles and reading. She was avid reader.  Family meant everything to Brenda and she sacrificed a career in the work world to be a dedicated full time homemaker while her children were in school. She was always faithful in great daily packed lunches and she made sure that there was always a delicious dinner on the table by 6 pm every evening. Brenda worked off and on after her children were grown. She was an accomplished sales person in the clothing business.  She was very proud to be a grandmother and always loved to spend time with her grandsons. Her favorite color was green, she had a ferocious sweet tooth and absolutely loved Elvis Presley.

Brenda leaves behind her siblings:  Wanda Martin, of Morris OK; her brother, Don Robbins and his wife, Arlene of Leander, TX; Betty Stine and her husband, Raymond of Mustang, OK; her sister, Cathy Canfield and her husband, Leslie of Tulsa OK.  Brenda will be greatly missed by her children, Sherrie Lynn Nelson of Muenster TX and Stephen David Nelson of  Arlington TX.  Brenda is survived by her loving grandchildren:  her grandsons, Tavi Saldana  and his wife Kendi of Roanoke TX and Nikolas Saldana of Muenster TX

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; Rosalind Laurent and J.D Robbins; her husband, David L. Nelson; her brother, Larry Robbins; her Sister, Carol Ivers
and her brother-in-law, Tommy Martin

While the family is greatly saddened by their loss of Brenda, they wish for everyone to come celebrate a life well lived and rejoice her reunion with her Lord and her loved ones in her new home in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Services will be Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10:00 am at Azle Funeral Chapel in Azle, Texas.
