In Loving Memory of Bonita 'Robin' McCormack
1961 - 2026
Bonita Robin McCormack, born on February 8, 1961, in Odessa, Texas, passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 65. She was a lifelong resident of Midland, Texas, where she cherished her community and made cherished memories with those around her. Bonita graduated from Midland High School in Midland Texas and enjoyed a fulfilling career until her retirement.
She was known for her mischievous grin, sparkling eyes, distinctive sense of humor, kindness, and generosity and the way she called everyone she met "sister" or "brother" instead of "honey" or "sweetie," as though each person were a best friend or long-lost relative. She would give anyone her last dollar, even if it meant going without herself. Her nieces, nephews, and their children, as well as her precious fur baby, Coco, held a special place in her heart.
Robin is survived by her beloved sisters, Susan Jenkins, Debbie Fisher, and Sherri Kizziar; her brothers-in-law, Carl Kizziar and Michael McCormack; and her sisters-in-law, Maureen McCormack and Theresa Wolfe/McCormack. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Kristie Jumper, Alix McColloch, John (JD) Jenkins, Richard Jenkins, Bryann Wells, Zoe Kizziar, Isaac Kizziar, and Malachi Kizziar, and her great nieces and nephews Audrey and Hailey Jumper, Olivia and John McColloch, Caley, Jacob and Emma Jenkins, Brooklynn Wells and Charlotte Jenkins.
Robin was preceded in death by her father Darrell Byrd, mother Minnie Mae Byrd, Husband Christopher McCormack, Brother-in-law Bryan Thomas (Tom) Jenkins and Grandmothers Ozelle (Bobby) McClain and Sallie Mae Byrd.
Robin's life will be honored at a celebration of life and memorial on her birthday, February 8, 2027. Details will be announced later. She will be cremated, and her ashes will be kept in a place of love and remembrance.
Her family and friends will carry on her legacy of compassion and devotion, keeping her spirit alive in the hearts of all who knew her.
