Barbara Parkey Hunt

1944 - 2022

Barbara Hunt passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, October 16,2022.
Barbara was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and loved teaching children for over 25 years. Naturally, people loved and gravitated towards her. She loved Jesus and sharing her faith.
Barbara's happiness came from her family.  She enjoyed spending time on the family cruises, playing Scrabble and other board games with her children, and having memorable sleepovers with her grandchildren.
Barbara and Michael prayed at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. Together, they were also baptized in the Sea of Galilee in Israel.
She spent her later years to the fullest feeding her birds, feeding her adopted neighborhood cat, and sharing dinner and movie nights with her beloved husband, with whom she would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 5, 2023.
Barbara was preceded in passing by her son, Christopher "Dougie" Hunt.

She will be deeply and lovinly missed by her dedicated husband, Michael Andrew Hunt; her other four children, Michael Andrew Hunt Jr and his wife, Michelle, Kimberly Johnson and her husband, Vic, Allison Williams and her husband, Wes, and Matthew Hunt and his wife, Heather; grandchildren, Kitty Williamson (Cameron), Benji Hunt, Lauren Hunt, Vanessa Hunt, Madeline Hunt, Josh Johnson (Morgan), Ryan Johnson (Brittany), and Katie Ragsdale (Justin); great-grandchildren, Clark Johnson, Becket Johnson, Hutch Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Stetson Johnson, Wrenlee Ragsdale, Everly Ragsdale, and Rosalie Ragsdale; sisters, Jean DeFrance and Pat Talley; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel beginning at 1:00PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00PM with Pastor Vic Johnson officiating.  Interment will be held at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park.
