August Gene Spears

1970 – 2022

August Gene Spears, 51, went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on November 20, 1970, in Elk City, Oklahoma to Paul and Judy Spears.

August or as some knew him Gene attended Springtown High School. In his spare time August loved to cook outside, BBQ and spend time fishing. He was an active man who loved working with his hands. Within the last few years, he started his business Genes Hot Side Service, a restaurant maintenance business that he was very proud of. Gene was a very warm man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends he held dear. However, his loving did not stop there, as he played the part of dad to many.

August Gene Spears was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Henry and Judy Marie Spears, and his brother, Paul Russell Spears. Surviving is his stepchild, Brittney Davis, her spouse and children; his sisters, Paula Gonzales and husband John Gonzales, Julie Hutcheson and husband Gary Hutcheson; stepsisters, Lisa Deel Whitten and Kimberly Dawn Deel; nephews, James, Richard, Garret and Randy; nieces, Jamie, Cheyanne, and Kami; two great nephews; two great nieces; and his childhood friends, Steve Dobbs and Mathew Buynum. He will be missed by many friends and family. Rest in peace.
