In Loving Memory of Albert C. Evans

1930 - 2024

In loving memory of Albert Coleman Evans, affectionately known as Sonny. Born on January 11, 1930, in Dewar, OK, to Clyde and Hattie Evans, he departed this world on January 12, 2024.

Sonny was a proud member of the Freemasons. He served his country in the Air Force from 1947 to 1951. Following his military service, he dedicated years to Bell Helicopter before embarking on a fulfilling retirement. Sonny's passion for music brought joy to countless lives by playing at senior living facilities across the DFW area.
His zest for life manifested in various hobbies, from traveling the country, especially to Branson, to indulging in his love for buying cars. Sonny's warm spirit and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered; he truly never met a stranger.
In honoring Sonny's memory, let us celebrate a life well-lived, filled with music, camaraderie, and an unwavering love for the people he touched. May he rest in peace, leaving behind cherished memories that echo through the hearts of those who knew him.

Sonny has been reunited with his parents; his former wife, Elsie Warren; daughter, Dwanna Evans; siblings, Monty Evans, Robert Evans, Edna Evans, Shirly Fry and Clara Thurman, in God's Eternal Kingdom.

He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his children, Wayne Evans and wife, Sandy, and Jackie Gray; siblings, Claude Evans, Elinor Mann, and Eloise Poindexter; grandson, Sonny McKay and wife, Lonnie; great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn McKay and Madison Mckay; and a host of extended family and friends.
