IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alan Neil
Smith
May 13, 1951 – February 10, 2022
Alan Neil Smith went home to be reunited with his beloved wife on February 10, 2022, after a courageous battle.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Chapel beginning at 10:00 AM.
Alan was born on May 13, 1951 in Pueblo, CO to Neil and Irene Smith. He graduated from Fowler High School in 1969 and went on to attend Independent Baptist Bible College. During this time, Alan would attend a new church with a friend and meet the love of his life, Patricia. The two were wed on October 5, 1972 before having two beautiful children. Alan served as a volunteer fireman with the Crowley Fire Department and worked many years for Union Pacific Railroad. While on the job, he suffered a head injury which he overcame with God's guidance and his own stubborn determination. Alan never ceased to lend a helping hand when he saw a chance. Alan was a light. He never failed to have a smile on his face and gentle words of encouragement. Alan was strong in his faith, passing his biblical values to his children. Even in grief, after the loss of his wife, he never lost trust in his Lord. They both are now free of pain, spending eternity together in God's Eternal Kingdom.
Alan is preceded in passing by his wife, Patricia Smith, and mother, Irene Smith.
He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his children, Christopher Smith (Barbara), and Sheila Martin (Grant); father, Neil Smith; sister, Pam Johnston (Edward Howard); grandchildren, Joshua, Thomas, Jason and Jacob; and a host of brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
