1943 – 2019

Douglas Ray Brown went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 17, 2019. Douglas was born in Longview, Texas on January 1, 1943 to his parents, Willie Amos Brown and Ollie Mae Lane.

Douglas grew up in Azle, Texas and graduated from Azle High School. He attended classes at TCU for a short time. He worked as a repairman for office equipment and computers, enjoyed his time as a pro fisherman and eventually found himself in Real Estate making property investments. Douglas enjoyed spending time outdoors; fishing, boating and camping. He also collected stamps and coins. Douglas married the love of his life Christine Sydow-Brown. They started a family together and were married for 55 wonderful years.

Douglas is survived by his loving wife, Christine Brown; his son, Scott Brown; his grandson, Alex Brown; his sister, Judith Brown; his brother, Charles Brown; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Brown; his mother, Ollie Lane; and his step-mother, Wessie Brown.
