Donald Naho’olewa Obituary

Donald Kaleoaloha Naho’olewa, 81, died Monday, September 24, 2018, at his home in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born December 11, 1936 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Ernest Malea Naho’olewa and Minnie Maikai Laahiwa Kaohiai Kaonohi.
Preceding him in death are his parents, five brothers and two sisters: Ernest Malea Jr., Ernest Malea III, Ernest Malea, Ernest Kaukaohu Jr., and Alexander Awaawa, Primrose Maikai Laahiwa and Charlotte Kameaaloha.
Don has seven children. Daniel of Fort Worth, TX, David of Fort Worth, TX, Damon of McKinney, TX and Deborah of Fort Worth, TX, Richard of Sandy, UT, Susan of Tyler, TX and Tracey of Waco, TX. He is survived by his wife, Connie, of 18 years. Together they have 13 children, 34 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Don loved restoring and driving old cars which included a 1955, 56, 57, and 58 Chevy sedans. He also enjoyed a lifetime of martial arts of which he was the founder of The American Kajukembo Association (AKA). Don joined the military in 1955 and spent time in Vietnam. He retired from the Air Force of 20 years in 1975. Don is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His favorite calling was that of family history. He spent many years researching and creating family organizational charts.
A viewing will be held Saturday, September 29, from 11:00 to 11:50 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 100 Paint Pony Trail North, Fort Worth, Texas 76108. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm on the same day. Interment will be at Azleland Memorial Park, 850 N. Cardinal Road, Azle, Texas 76020.
