Billy Wayne Medlen passed away to be with his Lord and Savior on July 23, 2018.  Bill was born on September 7, 1931 in Bridgeport, Texas to his parents, Francis M. Medlen and Millie Bell Yates.

Bill grew up in the Fort Worth area and graduated from Northside High School in 1950.  After school, Bill joined the United States Army where he proudly and faithfully served our great nation.  Bill discovered his skills as a tile setter and was a true craftsman of his trade.  Bill enjoyed spending time around the house and going fishing when he had a chance.  In his younger years, Bill competed in a few rodeos from time to time.  Bill’s true passion was spending time studying and reflecting in his bible.  He served his church faithfully until his passing.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Patsy Jane Dunn-Medlen.  Bill also leaves behind daughter, Melanie Ann Gardiner and husband, Bryon; his daughter, Debra Gaye Watson husband, Bill; his daughter, Valarie Kim Fowler; his son, Billy Wayne Medlen II, and wife Michele; his step-son, Jimmy Ivy; his grandchildren, William G., Adam, Meaghan, Elizabeth, Leighton, Jordan, Cassie, William M. and Katheryn; his great grandchildren, Trinity, Daelyn, Finn, Bryon, Joseph, Ray, Riley, Paizlee, Kynleigh, Laiken, Collin, Kimberlee and Myles; numerous nieces and nephews along with other loving family members and dear friends.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Francis Medlen and Millie Cockrell as well as his sister, Francis Ann Johnson.
