1957 - 2019

Asuncion Cruz entered this world on April 8, 1957 in Jalisco, Mexico to his parents Maria Cruz Ramirez and Higinio Cruz.  He left this word on July 18, 2019 to be re-united with our Lord and Savior and his parents in his new home in The Kingdom of Heaven.

Asuncion was a terrific person, who loved to make people smile and laugh.  He was the kind of person who lit up a room when he entered it.  He could have everyone in the room laughing and smiling within just a few minutes after his arrival.  Asuncion could pretty much do anything.  He was an incredibly hard worker that would take the time necessary to figure out how to tackle a project and master a task.  He worked most of his life in construction as an insulation installer.  Asuncion loved music.  He was a talented musician that loved playing his guitar and singing.  Everything about music was his passion, whether it was playing or singing or just listening to it.  Asuncion was deeply loved by everyone in his family and one of his favorite things to do was to be around family at the different family gatherings.  At these gatherings he often cooked and his favorite food was anything related to shrimp.  Asuncion was a true believer and had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  

Asuncion is survived by his children; Betty Cruz, Sonya Cruz , Yessenia Cruz, Vanessa Cruz, Victor Cruz, Mark Cruz, Stephanie Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez and Erica Cruz.  He is also survived by four grandsons and eight granddaughters.  Asuncion also leaves behind his siblings; Manuel Cruz, David Cruz, Tony Cruz, Consuelo Ortiz, Celia Collins, Carolina Martinez, Tina Espinoza and Maria Dominguez.  Asuncion will be missed by a great many family members including twenty-two nieces and ten nephews along with a countless number of friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home at 850 N. Cardinal Rd in Azle, Texas.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM followed by a Rosary Service at 12:30 PM and Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM.

Cemetery committal service will follow the Funeral Mass at Azleland Cemetery at 850 N. Cardinal Rd.  Azle, Texas.
